這首詩歌的目的是在告訴我們，今日我們所播的種子，或許不能看到立即的收成，但在那一天，你將看到許多意想不到的成果，勸我們要忠心工作，不問收成，只問耕耘。同樣，我們也要感謝父母、老師、牧者……他們曾在我們年輕的時期，曾在我們身上所播下的善種，多年來使我們不斷成長，巴不得他們能看到我們今日的成就，雖然目前他們不一定看得到，然而在那榮耀的天家，我們都必相會，我們要當面向他們說：「感謝你……」

I dreamed I went to heaven /And you were there with me; /

Each life somehow touched by your generosity.
Little things that you had done, sacrifices made,
Unnoticed on the earth / In heaven, now proclaimed.

And I know up in heaven /You're not supposed to cry.
But I am almost sure there were tears in your eyes.
As Jesus took your hand and you stood before the Lord.
He said, "My child, look around you. / Great is your reward."

我夢見我到天堂，你也跟我在那裡，

然後另外有一個人站在你前面，他說：「記得有一次，
有一位宣教師來到你教會，他帶來的相片使你感動流淚，
你沒有太多錢，可是你還是奉獻了，耶穌使用你的禮物，
因此今天我得以站在這裡。

（副歌）感謝你奉獻給主，我的生命，就因此得到改變，
謝謝你奉獻給主，我真高興，你那時的付出。

數不清的人，一個接一個的來了，
每個生命都是被你的寬大的心所影響，
那些你所作的小事、犧牲，在世上沒有被人注意，
現在，卻在天國被宣揚出來。

我知道在天國，我們不應該會流淚，
可是我幾乎、確定看到你含著眼淚，
當耶穌牽著你的手，你站在主前，祂說：
「我的孩子，看看你周圍，你的獎賞是大的。」

　　主耶穌在馬太福音廿五章講了一個比喻：王先責備那些『惡人』沒有愛心；然後稱讚那些『義人』的愛心，說：「你們這蒙我父賜福的，可來承受那創世以來為你們所豫備的國；因為我餓了，你們給我喫，渴了，你們給我喝；我作客旅，你們留我住；我赤身露體，你們給我穿；我病了、你們看顧我；我在監裡，你們來看我。義人就回答說：「主阿，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，給你喫，渴了，給你喝﹖甚麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿﹖又甚麼時候見你病了，或是在監裡，來看你呢﹖」王要回答說：「我實在告訴你們，這些事，你們既作在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是作在我身上了。」
